As our aluminum fabrication business continues to grow, we are looking for a hands-on technician who enjoys building, machining, and assembling high-quality custom solutions.

Position Summary

The Aluminum Fabrication and Assembly Technician is responsible for cutting, machining, and assembling custom aluminum framing systems and mechanical assemblies according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

This position combines precision fabrication, light machining, and mechanical assembly. Successful candidates enjoy working with their hands, reading technical drawings, operating shop equipment, and taking pride in producing high-quality finished products.

What You'll DoFabrication & Machining
  • Cut aluminum extrusion and components to precise dimensions using automated saw equipment.
  • Operate drill, mill, tapping, and deburring equipment.
  • Prepare materials for assembly by drilling, tapping, and machining components to specification.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Mechanical Assembly
  • Assemble aluminum framing systems, workstations, machine guards, carts, and custom structures.
  • Install brackets, fasteners, panels, and accessories according to engineering drawings.
  • Ensure completed assemblies meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Package and prepare finished assemblies for shipment.
Drawing Interpretation
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, assembly prints, and work instructions.
  • Identify dimensions, hole locations, hardware requirements, and assembly sequences.
  • Communicate drawing discrepancies or improvement opportunities to engineering and project teams.
Shop Operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and material handling.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and quality.
QualificationsPreferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, machining, or related trades.
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience operating saws, drill presses, mills, or similar shop equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Position Details

Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Work Environment: Manufacturing and fabrication shop

Pay Range: $23-$28 per hour, depending on experience
