  • Join a collaborative legal team that values sound judgment, professional growth, and continuous learning.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Investigate, evaluate, and manage title insurance claims from assignment through resolution.
  • Analyze policy coverage, conduct legal research, and develop practical claim resolution strategies.
  • Prepare coverage analyses, claim correspondence, settlement recommendations, and other legal documentation.
  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, regulators, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  • Determine when outside counsel should be retained and provide strategic direction on assigned litigation matters.
  • Review pleadings, settlement proposals, legal budgets, invoices, and litigation strategy.
  • Identify and pursue recovery, subrogation, indemnity, contribution, and reimbursement opportunities.
  • Identify recurring claim trends and provide feedback that supports claim prevention, underwriting, operations, and risk management initiatives.
  • Assist with legal research, department procedures, training materials, and other departmental projects.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction in good standing.
  • Four or more years of legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, insurance company, or related environment, or two or more years of direct title insurance claims or underwriting experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, real estate closings, foreclosures, collections, bankruptcy, litigation, or related practice areas.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, writing, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop practical, cost-effective claim resolution strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external partners.
