Job Title: Junior Legal Assistant – Loan Document Processor

Location: Dallas, TX

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM start | 8-hour workday with 1-hour lunch

Type of Employment: Direct Hire

Compensation: $60000 – $65000 / Year + Discretionary Holiday Bonus

Job Description:

Addison Group is actively recruiting for a Junior Legal Assistant / Loan Document Processor to support a real estate legal team for our client, a mid-sized law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative legal environment and gain specialized experience in real estate and loan documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Document Processing:

  • Prepare legal documentation related to real estate lending transactions
  • Handle a high volume of loan packages (approximately 40–50 per month)
  • Finalize, organize, and ensure accuracy of transaction documents
  • Input key transaction data into internal tracking systems
  • Communicate with clients, title companies, legal staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth closings
  • Prioritize time effectively during month-end processing crunch periods

Legal Assistant Duties:

  • Assist with general administrative support tasks when loan volume is lower
  • Prepare correspondence and assist with document filing and scheduling
  • Support attorneys with meeting coordination, communication, and tracking time entries
  • Take on additional administrative duties as assigned within the real estate legal team

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a legal support role (litigation or boutique firm experience welcome)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and legal document management systems
  • Exposure to real estate documentation or corporate organizational records
  • Experience using software such as Expert Time, Contract Express, or LightningDocs
