Job description

Titan is a leading national electrical contractor with locations in Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Titan Electric is seeking a skilled Telehandler/Lull and Forklift Operator to join our team. This position involves operating material handling equipment, including extended boom forklifts and straight mast forklifts, to load, unload, spot, and relocate materials and electrical equipment. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the breakdown, sorting, and packing of materials for use on construction sites.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Operate extended boom forklifts and straight mast forklifts efficiently.
  • Spot and relocate materials to job site locations or staging warehouses.
  • Assist in sorting, picking, and packing materials for construction use.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Perform daily maintenance and inspections of equipment.
  • Organize, secure, and relocate tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean by removing scrap and excess materials.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid training (preferred).
  • Effective communication and ability to maintain high productivity levels.
 
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and provide references.
 
Position Requirements:
License: Class A CDL preferred but not required.
Certification: Forklift/Lull Certification preferred; OSHA 10 required within 30 days of hire.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of forklift equipment operation or related experience.
 
Working Conditions:
  • Work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Operate forklifts and hand trucks in warehouses, which may not be climate-controlled.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Work a regular 40-hour week with potential for overtime, night shifts, and weekend work.
 
Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Operate power tools and construction equipment safely.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Work on foot for prolonged periods and climb ladders as needed.
  • Maintain manual dexterity and vision/hearing abilities (with or without correction).
  • Drive vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions, safely.
