Responsibilities
The Maintenance Superintendent supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the daily maintenance and reliability functions for the entire tissue plant. This role provides direct leadership to maintenance technicians and contractors, ensures timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, and supports plant-wide reliability initiatives.
Technical & Operational Support
  • Supervisor and Coach Maintenance Team Leaders and Specialist
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in serving as a technical leader across the tissue plant.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Coordinate and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

Resource & Work Coordination
  • Support planning and allocation of manpower, materials, and tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with CI, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse.

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
  • Enforce compliance with plant safety programs

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and coach maintenance team

Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support KPI reporting

Project & Capital Support
  • Assist Engineering and Maintenance Manager with capital project activities

Annual Outage Support
  • Assist with planning and execution of annual outage tasks

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical)
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience; 2+ years leadership preferred.
  • Strong training and coaching skills with the ability to develop operator capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong Mechanical /electrical troubleshooting
  • Effective Leadership and communication
  • CMMS experience
