Job description

R&D Landscape is looking for a skilled mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles, skid steers, mowers, and small engine equipment. We are an extremely ambitious, family-oriented company that pays well and strives to be the best! We have a four-bay heated shop, 12k pound two post lift, tire machine, tire balancer, and the perfect spot for your toolbox! We also own a golf course so free golf is a perk you can enjoy all season!

Responsibilities:

  • Complete equipment inspections and accurately record results.

  • Conduct routine maintenance work (Oil changes, Brakes, Scheduled Maintenance)

  • Operate tire machine and balancer

  • Update our online logs on work and issues specific to the equipment

  • Develop relationships with key vendors to help us achieve excellence in the shop.

  • Complete repairs at a professional level with attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or trade school experience

  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods

  • Ability to handle various tools and equipment

  • Having your own tools is a bonus, but not required

  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.

  • Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is a definite plus

  • Must be organized, ambitious, motivated, honest and willing to be part of a large team.

  • Must be able to work and communicate with others.

  • Must be ready to grow with one of the fastest growing landscape companies in the state.
