Must Haves:
- 3+ years experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, launch support, or program timing in an automotive environment.
- Familiarity with launch wall reviews, percent-complete tracking, countermeasure follow-up, and milestone reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste elimination.
- Working knowledge of STDS, labor balancing, ergonomics, and manufacturing layouts.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and related engineering systems or documentation tools.
- Ability to work across production, engineering, and leadership teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Summary:
A large OEM in Saginaw, MI is looking for an Industrial Engineer/Project Timer to support manufacturing operations by combining industrial engineering execution with project timing and launch wall coordination, driving productivity, labor planning, ergonomics, throughput improvement, and standardized work while maintaining the master project timing plan and launch status reporting. This role also acts as a cross-functional link between production, manufacturing engineering, launch leadership, and functional section owners to ensure timing updates, issues, and countermeasures are visible and actionable.
Compensation: $35/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
