You will be responsible for giving guests efficient and timely service, suggesting food and wine pairings, having full knowledge of our food and drink menus, and

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with eye contact and a smile
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of menu/bar/wine
  • Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints
  • Clearly explain chef specials and answer questions
  • Offer recommendations and up-sell to improve guests' experience
  • Carry heavy trays of food and beverages
  • Enforce rules and regulations in regard to alcohol consumption/purchase
  • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
  • Provide checks and collect payment from guests
  • Follow all health department regulations
  • Arrive on time for all shifts, pre-shifts, ready to receive assigned tasks, review menu and event specifics
  • Complete all side-work as directed and perform other duties as assigned
  • Uphold the integrity of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group by demonstrating ethical behaviors

Qualifications:

The Birmingham Pub is looking for hospitable, passionate, and hardworking individuals who understand the importance of impeccable service in a restaurant environment. This is an ideal role for someone looking to advance within the foodservice industry. 1 year of experience preferred in a fine dining atmosphere.
