JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Project Engineer - Intervention Solutions
Reports to: Engineering Manager - Service
Summary:
The Project Engineer ('Engineer') shall be primarily responsible for managing the intervention systems andoperations which are assigned to him/her. The Engineer will ensure that the projects are delivered as per thespecifications set forth, function as intended, and meet applicable regulatory standards. The Engineer serves as theprimary technical interface to the customer for subsea well intervention systems. The Engineer works closely withproject managers, engineering teams, and field personnel to ensure project success. The Project Engineer position is officed based and located at Trendsetter's Houston, TX campus. Travel bothdomestically and internationally is occasionally required. The position offers bonuses and a competitive salarybased on applicant's experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering leadership and support for intervention systems including design, assembly, testing,repair, and maintenance.
  • Assist in handover from new product creation to service / aftermarket.
  • Provide engineering support for customer intervention opportunities. This includes client permit approvalprocesses, interface engineering, and engineering for the design and fabrication of project specificcomponents.
  • Act as "beach" support for offshore field operations, including interventions and installations.
  • Implement changes to resolve system and project problems. Improve product performance and reliability. Lead MOC and NCR processes.
  • Generate field manuals, drawings, and procedures for assets and offshore projects.
  • Perform design and analysis for new products and modification of existing equipment.
  • Develop specifications and test requirements that drive product design.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Trendsetter supplied equipment.
  • Interface with the client as the primary technical representative for system and project support matters.
  • Interface with Project Managers and Technician staff as required ensuring technical information isaccurate and consistent.
  • Coordination of support with third party companies and/or organization as required.
  • Stay abreast of developments which impact the industry and Trendsetter supplied equipment such asregulatory requirements in GOM and other regions.
  • Provide input into the continued improvement of existing processes and equipment as well as contributeto the development of new techniques and technology in support of subsea operations.
  • Must conform to all policies and procedures of Trendsetter Engineering, Inc.
  • Represent Trendsetter as a technical specialist with potential clients, industry presentations, andcommittee participation as it relates to subsea well intervention.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Education:
  • B.S. Engineering degree from accredited university o Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems (Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software
  • Proficient in Orcaflex and ANSYS analysis software

ExperienceandSkills:
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience in an Oil & Gas sector (Drilling, Completion, Production, or Intervention)
  • Design experience in offshore and subsea equipment preferred
