Position Overview

Kiewit Foundations District is seeking motivated and skilled Project Engineers to join our team in the Gulf Coast region, primarily in Louisiana and Mississippi. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for constructing a project's administrative and technical aspects, managing a team of field and cost engineers. You will be the main conduit of information between the construction manager and the team for cost, revenue, and cash flow information.  We seek individuals with strong interpersonal and information management skills and mentorship abilities. Kiewit Foundations Co. is a full-service geotechnical foundation contractor operating across North America. Our experience and expertise cover a wide range of specialty foundation construction for both structural and ground improvement solutions. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of foundation construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Perform scheduling of the project.
  • Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow.
  • Oversee temporary engineering and permanent design management.
  • Ensure quality control.
  • Handle project closeout and client relations.
  • Assist in operations planning.
  • Administer contracts and subcontracts.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of work experience in construction or engineering.
  • Preferably, experience with augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piles is required, though not required.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Experience managing engineers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt.
