Position at SBM Management
The Time & Attendance Manager will provide leadership, coordination, and direction for the planning, implementation of employee time and attendance management systems and processes. Also, oversee and ensure employees and managers know their responsibilities related to timekeeping, providing training where needed, and assist managers to identify and resolve timekeeping errors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Understands the complete employee experience and works collaboratively with IT to improve the user interface for time and attendance systems and processes.
  • Drives the documentation of cross-functional SOPs, policies, procedures, and practices related to the end-to-end time and attendance processes
  • Understands and can easily articulate the end-to-end time and attendance process, from hour tracking and approvals to the paycheck
  • Ensures proper compilation and analysis of time and attendance data and maintains related reports
  • Identifies any calculation issues with the configuration/logic for the timekeeping system and analyze pay rule design for process improvements
  • Ensures ongoing updates are occurring to system configuration, such as adding new departments or jobs to the business structure
  • Performs spot audits of the systems and data to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of related processes
  • Communicates and explains time and labor policies and the various related personnel rules
  • Generates and distributes compliance reports on time approvals and retro pay changes due to timekeeping errors
  • Ensures compliance of internal controls, and governing federal and state laws
  • Responsible for managing a collaborative compliance program that highlights high and low performers within the end-to-end process as well as recommended corrective actions.
  • Works closely with all teams to ensure policy compliance, new updates, and changes are communicated & implemented in a timely and effective manner
  • Ensures proper cross-training across the end-to-end process
  • Determine proper structure and strategy related to systems, people, and process to optimize the end-to-end process
  • Oversees the development of training programs specifically related to time and attendance to maintain adherence to timekeeping practices

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 5 years of progressive related management experience required
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of time collection
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lead and work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Experience with a UKG/Kronos or Workday a plus

Compensation: $105,000 - $110,000
