Job description

Tri‑City Group is seeking a Project Engineer to immediately support Treiber Construction Division projects based in Davenport, IA. In this role, the Project Engineer plays a key part in the successful delivery of construction projects by coordinating project documentation, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards. This position collaborates closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with contractual requirements.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support project delivery by ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets all client quality expectations.
  • Manage and track project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, logs, schedules, and milestone deliverables.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor progress and assist with coordination throughout all phases of the project.
  • Represent the company with professionalism during meetings, site visits, and client communications
  • Assist in gathering required project documentation and identifying constructability issues, missing information, or site access constraints.
  • Participate in the shop drawing review process to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare, organize, and support all project closeout documentation.


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience in the field within a related field
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Excel
  • Previous experience with Procore project software
  • Experience creating estimates within Sage/Timberline software
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) If not certified, willingness to obtain upon hire.
