Job Title: Supply Chain Quote Specialist

Primary Responsibilities: Works cross-functionally to quote, plan, and create cost savings with materials necessary to support the operations of the company. Will pursue initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the quote to purchase process and increase customer satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide on-time part quotes for new and existing parts based on customer demand.
  • Setup and onboard new suppliers to Timberline.
  • Setup all new parts and ensure proper parameters are set.
  • Maintain cost, pricing, and lead times of all parts.
  • Strategic cost reduction project ownership.
  • Lead and support continuous process improvement within the quote/purchase process.
  • Develop and maintain good supplier and customer relations ensuring quality and competitive pricing.
  • Additional work projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years previous experience in procurement is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must be skilled and accurate in data entry and be proficient in Outlook.
  • Capable of utilizing software tools effectively for research and evaluation.
  • Strong background in ERP utilization.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus of timeliness and responsiveness.
  • Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality.
