On-Site Structural Engineer - Citadel Contractors, Inc. (Apex, NC)

Citadel Contractors, a leading construction firm specializing in design-build tilt-up construction, is seeking a talented and passionate Structural Engineer to join our team in Apex, NC. Applications from both recent graduates and experienced professionals with a strong commitment to delivering high quality, innovative structural designs are welcome. You will contribute to exciting projects and collaborate with experienced professionals, including architects, contractors, and other engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations for various building materials like concrete, steel, and masonry, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards
  • Use structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, RAM Structural System, Ram Elements, Tilt-Werks, LECWall, etc.) to create detailed designs and models
  • Prepare and review engineering construction documents, shop drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Facilitate seamless project execution by coordinating schedules and technical details with the project team
  • Ability to self-manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, while working in a fast paced, team environment to successfully complete project requirements
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required
  • 0-2 years of experience for entry-level positions, including relevant internships or cooperative education
  • Registered Engineering Intern that has passed the FE exam, or is taking steps to become a certified Engineer Intern
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required, for experienced candidates, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
