Job description

Astoria Construction is looking for an experienced residential Remodeler / Project Manager to lead our crew and oversee all projects in the remodeling, design and construction phase of each job site. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated and apply their creativity and trade skills into each and every project.

We are a construction company who work the Bellevue and Puget Sound areas, specializing in new home remodels, home additions, kitchens, baths, hardwood flooring, and roofing for commercial and residential buildings. We take pride in our work and deliver the best service to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily discussion/meetings with the Operations Manager for current project status, job updates, client issues, material needs.
  • Review scope of work and estimating to generate project schedule. Schedule and maintain the crew's projects each day.
  • Establish products and material lead time for items selected for project and set order dates as part of the schedule.
  • Designate project resources.
  • Monitor progress to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by establishing a workplace safety system.

Candidate must have basic tools and a proper construction vehicle to haul tools, materials and equipment. Must be willing to travel to different job sites each day.

Job Requirements and Work Experience in:

  • Must have 5 years construction/residential remodeling/previous construction experience.
  • Renovation on kitchens/bathrooms.
  • Demolition. Electrical & plumbing.
  • Framing, trim work, windows & doors.
  • Tile & cabinets. Roofing, siding, and willing to learn new skills.

Education:

  • High school or college degree - with emphasis in business management.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Proficiency in communication skills.
