Job Description

We are seeking experienced TIG Welders with a strong background in precision welding and high-spec environments. This position supports structural and aerospace welding projects, requiring a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict quality standards. Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on structural and aerospace components.
• Weld on stainless steel, aluminum, and/or specialty alloys.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Maintain precision and consistency in weld quality.
• Work to tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
• Support fabrication, fit-up, and assembly as needed.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of TIG welding experience.
• Ability to pass a TIG weld test.
• Experience with structural or aerospace welding strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of heat control, distortion control, and metallurgy basics.
• Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Comfortable using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to work from blueprints and welding specifications (WPS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartselle, AL.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
