Shift Leader / On Duty Manager - Decatur

At Tiff’s Treats, we bring happiness to customers by delivering warm, delicious treats, and we’re currently seeking enthusiastic On Duty Managers (ODMs) to join our team! This role is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership position whenever our salaried managers are away, ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently.
When not serving as the ODM, you'll work as either a Kitchen Team Member or Delivery Driver, contributing to the overall success of the team. Whether you're looking to grow your leadership skills or thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be a SWEET opportunity for you!
This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position. The schedule will be flexible, yet varied, encompassing day, night, and some weekend shifts, typically between 7 AM and 11 PM.

What You’ll Do
As an ODM:
  • Earn $18/hr for ODM shifts.
  • Serve as the manager on duty in the absence of salaried managers, leading the team and ensuring smooth store operations.
  • Oversee, train, and evaluate the work of 3–6 employees per shift, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Manage daily operations, including product preparation, sales, inventory, and service to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, complete daily paperwork, and conduct inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
  • Optimize delivery efficiency by routing orders to maximize speed and delivery business.
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude, setting the tone for the team and leading by example in every role.
  • Assist with front-of-house tasks, including greeting customers, taking orders, handling transactions, and ensuring order accuracy.
  • Support performance management, including coaching team members and providing feedback or corrective actions as needed.
As a Kitchen Team Member:
  • Earn $15/hr for Kitchen shifts.
  • Bake and prepare warm, delicious treats to perfection, following company recipes and quality standards.
  • Accurately package orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring a delightful customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment while upholding food safety and sanitation guidelines.
As a Delivery Driver:
  • Earn $10/hr + delivery fees and 100% customer tips for Driver shifts.
  • Tiff’s Treats Drivers are GUARANTEED to make at least a minimum of $15 /hr average pay per pay period with our “GAP” (Guaranteed Average Pay) program!
  • Deliver warm, freshly baked treats quickly and efficiently using a Tiff’s Treats company vehicle or a personal vehicle when needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
  • Assist with various in-store duties, including order packaging and cleaning, to support overall store operations.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Flexible amp; Versatile – Must be willing to work both Delivery Driver and Kitchen shifts as needed throughout the week.
  • Leadership Experience – A minimum of 6 months of leadership and/or management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for Peak Business Days – Must be available to work on our busiest days of the year, including Bosses’ Day, Admin Pro Day, and Valentine’s Day ("All Hands on Deck" days).
  • Clean Driving Record amp; Valid License – A current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Proof of Auto Insurance – Must have current car insurance, with the driver’s name listed as an authorized driver.
  • Personal Vehicle for Deliveries – Must have access to a personal vehicle for deliveries when company vehicles are occupied (Drivers will receive additional compensation for using their own car).
    Please note: At this time, we do not allow deliveries via motorcycles, scooters, or bicycles.
  • Safe amp; Responsible Driving – Must be able to safely operate a vehicle, follow all traffic laws, and maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and grasp up to 50 lbs
  • Constant standing and/or walking with limited breaks, often in and out of extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs while carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Occasional stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc. up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to occasionally bend, twist, and reach items up to 50 lbs
  • Repetitive motion of the wrists/arms/hands.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks effectively and safely as lone worker in the store
  • Ability to execute all required cleaning procedures for a commercial kitchen environment
  • Ability to take visual and audible cues, and willing to follow written amp; verbal instructions in a loud amp; busy kitchen environment
  • Ability to clearly hear and speak over the telephone
  • Perform computer work in a stationary position for extended periods of time
