Job description

Experienced Gun Loader
JOB SUMMARY: This position performs work in building and loading select fire perforating guns for wireline pump down operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Completions Solutions Inc. (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client's policies and procedures;
  • Builds perforating guns according to needs and specifications;
  • Sets the tools needed for the job based on specifications;
  • Maintains adequate inventory of guns and explosives and other materials as required;
  • Keeps logbook up to date;
  • Ensures work area is kept clean and safe;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Previous gun building experience highly preferred;
  • Basic mechanical skills and oilfield knowledge;
  • Working knowledge of safety practices and awareness of surrounding for safety;
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment with good customer service skills;
  • Basic wiring skills.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
  • Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
  • Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions;
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
  • Working with explosives.

  • Operation of heavy equipment or vehicles
  • Work nights and/or weekends
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's license required;
  • CDL License with Class A and Hazmat Endorsement is an asset but not required;
  • First Aid and CPR certified highly preferred
Qualifications:
  • Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1's policies;
  • 5 years commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1's guidelines
  • Must have the ability to pass a federal background check
  • Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
