POSITION SCOPE
The Foam Installation Technician is responsible for installing spray foam insulation and related products in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This position requires safe operation of spray foam equipment, proper surface preparation, quality workmanship, and adherence to company safety standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Install spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
  • Prepare work areas by covering surfaces, masking openings, and protecting nearby equipment and materials.
  • Operate spray foam rigs, compressors, generators, hoses, and application equipment.
  • Measure and mix materials to ensure proper foam application and performance.
  • Inspect surfaces prior to installation and identify conditions that may impact adhesion or product performance.
  • Trim, shape, and finish foam installations as required.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine cleaning, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Complete daily work reports, equipment inspections, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with general labor duties and site cleanup as needed.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous insulation, spray foam, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools, hand tools, and spray foam equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other required PPE for extended periods.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Commercial, industrial, and construction job sites.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, temperature extremes, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Frequent use of PPE including respirators, protective suits, gloves, eye protection, and fall protection equipment when required.
