JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk I
LOCATION: Costa Mesa, CA
PAY RATE: $23.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (5 months with potential for extension)

Summary: 

  • Performs data entry for customer setup, ship to locations, billing, cash receipts, and other accounts receivable data entry tasks.

  • Sends out agings, statements, invoices, PODs, and other accounts receivable related customer documentation.

  • Files, scans, and prints supporting documentation for accounts receivable records.

  • Uses various customer portals to retrieve information and submit invoices.

  • Processes billing transactions and cash receipts in the accounts receivable system.

  • Maintains accurate records of customer accounts and payment activities.

  • Applies advanced Excel knowledge including vlookup and pivot tables for data analysis and reporting.

  • Reconciles customer accounts and resolves payment discrepancies.

  • Generates aging reports to track outstanding receivables.

  • Processes electronic and paper documentation for accounts receivable transactions.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Advanced Excel knowledge including vlookup and pivot tables is required.

  • Experience with data entry for customer setup, billing, and cash receipts in accounts receivable systems.

  • Experience sending out aging reports, statements, invoices, and PODs to customers.

  • Experience using various customer portals to retrieve information and submit invoices.

  • Experience filing, scanning, and printing supporting documentation for accounts receivable.

  • Experience processing billing transactions and cash receipts.

  • Experience reconciling customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.

  • Experience generating aging reports for accounts receivable tracking.

  • Ability to work under supervision and follow direction from supervisor or manager.
