Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Director to maintain the Ticket Office computer ticketing systems and trains employees on the functionality of the system. Handles building and creation of all manifests in Archtics and creates assigned sport(s) events on Ticketmaster Host system. Is responsible for the oversight of multiple sports/ ticket operations and may assist other ticket office employees with the ticket operations for their assigned sport(s). Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and managing hourly OPS staff. Assists in the coordination of day-to-day operations within the Ticket Office.

This position requires the incumbent to have strong communication and customer service skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; be an independent thinker with strong analytics skills; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of specialization*
  • Two years of progressively responsible ticketing experience*
  • One year of cash handling experience
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and ticket system software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletic environment
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Ticketmaster Archtics and Ticketmaster Host system

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of listed requirement.
