The opportunity
Primary job duties will include but not limited to safely perform a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing areas, production, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate production system computer
  • Operate/Adjust machine controls and computer
  • Visually inspect finished product; advise team leader as needed for adjustments to improve/maintain quality
  • Remove damaged/defective sheets from finished goods
  • Lift/Carry pallets, corrugated sheets, and production supplies, up to 80 lbs.
  • Maintain production logbook
  • Execute machine clean up procedures as required.
  • Execute weekly machine start-up procedures as required.
  • Report machine problems to team leader, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members in a very noisy work environment
  • Operate wireless two-way radio set to communicate with team members
  • Read and follow written and verbal job order instructions
  • Think and act quickly in a fast-paced production environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
  • Must have 1 - 3 years' related experience.
  • Must have the ability to write and read simple instructions.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must have proficient skills in the use of hand tools.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day and walking to and from various machines and locations throughout the facility.
  • Ability to grasp objects with hands and fingers.
  • Ability to repetitively bend and twist at trunk level.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to crouch and/or kneel when required.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend and kneel thorough the entire shift.

The starting rate is$24.17 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 5 days of paid vacation will be granted after 1 year of service, and 12 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
