Basic Function
Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, assists Guests with selections, distributes products and provides optimum service to our Guests.
Specific Responsibilities
• Operates a cash register, computer, or POS system.
• Operates credit card verification terminals and calculators.
• Distributes products to Guests, such as food items, tickets, wristbands.
• Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness and organization in immediate and surrounding work areas.
• Provides assistance as needed in answering telephones per established guidelines.
• Performs opening and closing procedures in assigned areas.
• Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
• Must be 15 years old or older.
• Experience with handling money in the Guest service industry, with demonstrated ability to ensure customer satisfaction and handle Guest concerns.
• Demonstrated ability to calculate and count, read, and comprehend.
• Ability to retain information and make decisions.
• Ability to articulate variances to cash, ticket, or product discrepancies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through.
• General knowledge of computers, cash registers, various electronic devices, and software. Cash handling experience desired.
• Organizational skills at keeping detailed records, reports, and logs.
• Demonstrated ability to see, hear, talk clearly, and write legibly.
• Demonstrated ability to have full dexterity to be able to grip small items such as coins, bills, tokens, etc. and agility with the ability to work and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, grip small objects and push or pull heavy objects. Duties may be performed in a high noise level environment and involve standing for long periods of time.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, develop and maintain a close effective relationship with vendors, consultants, colleagues, fellow department managers, partners, and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to represent the best face of the organization to the public.
