Project Manager, Technical Solutions

Location: Corporate Office (Irving, TX) - Monday through Thursday in person. Remote Fridays.
Reports To: Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Travel: Up to 25%

TI Communities is looking for a Project Manager, Technical Solutions. The Project Manager will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technology-focused initiatives across TI Communities portfolio, with a focus on telecom, IT infrastructure, and property technology solutions. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple concurrent projects with precision and agility to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery that supports operational excellence across our communities.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Lead end-to-end project management for technical solutions including telecom deployments, IT infrastructure upgrades, and property technology implementations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and status reports to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into project progress and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to align resources, resolve dependencies, and drive accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and implement telecom and IT infrastructure solutions across the portfolio, ensuring systems meet the operational and connectivity needs of properties and residents.
  • Identify project risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate when necessary to keep initiatives on track.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships for technology services, tracking performance against service level agreements and escalating issues to ensure expectations are met.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into executable project plans.
  • Research emerging property technology solutions, summarizing findings on feasibility, cost, and operational fit to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project decisions, configurations, and outcomes to support institutional knowledge and future scalability.
  • Ensure all technology deployments comply with company IT policies, data security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record of delivering technology or IT infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms).
  • Working knowledge of telecom systems, IT infrastructure, and/or property technology solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage vendor and partner relationships effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in property management, multifamily housing, or real estate operations.
  • Familiarity with Entrata or similar property management software.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data security standards.
  • Experience with change management and technology adoption across distributed teams or multiple locations.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with a strong technical foundation, proven project management discipline, and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities shift.
