JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Statistics at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for one Postdoctoral Scholar working with Dr. Michael Schweinberger. The postdoctoral scholar is expected to work on a set of statistical-theoretical problems concerned with networks, space, time, or causal inference based on discrete and dependent data, either Bayesian or non-Bayesian. If desired, the postdoctoral scholar may teach one course in the Department of Statistics per year, but teaching is not expected.

Education and Experience

A Ph.D. in statistical science or data science is required at the time of appointment.Successful applicants will be expected to have a strong statistical background, research experience showing independence and innovation, and demonstrated academic writing skills.
