A Quality Control (QC) Inspector for threaded pipes is responsible for ensuring that the threads on pipes meet specific standards and tolerances. This role involves the utilization of precision gauges and instruments to measure machined threads and the outside diameter of pipes to determine thread height, taper, thread ovality, and other critical dimensions.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

Youโ€™ll play a vital role in our Production team by:

  • Setup all hand tools readily accessible to the job being performed
  • Review work order packet for job to verify correct product is to be produced
  • Assure Log Sheets are correct for the product to be produced
  • Coordinate with the Gage Lab for proper gages to measure product
  • Assure gages are mastered and set as required after production starts, as well as during production operation as required
  • Log all measurements for product on to the Log Sheet based on frequency as instructed for product type and Customer
  • Identify all rejected product on Digital Log Sheet and describe reason
  • Identify all rejected physical product as per instructions and alert operator
  • Assure all First and Last Article inspection is conducted as required
  • Alert operator and Supervisor if cause of rejection persists and participates in resolving of reason for rejection
  • Assure that material for order is correct as described on the work order
  • Alert Supervisor and Gage Lab of any concerns regarding performance of gaging or measurement instruments
  • Quality minded individual with a dedication to superior products
  • Follow all applicable work instructions, specifications, and requirements
  • Assist in training of inexperienced inspectors
  • Follow all Company Rules, Procedures and Policies
  • Follow all Company Safety Rules
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

What You Bring

Weโ€™re looking for candidates who are sharp, safety-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves:

  • 1 year experience as production operator/or previous experience as QC inspector in previous company
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading and basic math.
  • Must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions well
  • High School education or equivalent is preferred
