Job description

Description:
This position inspects API 5CT Casing threads and other Premium and Semi-Premium non- API threads (ID & OD) as per customer and industry specifications.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Qualifications:
  • High school/ GED or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Prior experience with thread inspection and gauging of threaded connections preferred.
  • Intermediate arithmetic skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to read measuring equipment and procedures.
  • Must be able to push, pull and have good finger and hand dexterity with good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities:
  • Verifies material against work order requirements.
  • Check product thread elements and dimensions.
  • Verify calibration and working condition of measuring equipment.
  • Complete all inspection reports precisely, neatly, and on time.
  • Keep work area orderly with respect to materials, tools, and personal belongings.
  • Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

Activities:
  • Complete all necessary inspection reports.
  • Identify, mark, and segregate rejects and reworks.
  • Communicate Inspection results to quality and production teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
