WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Demonstrates the ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot shaving, thread rolling and tapping machines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to respectively and effectively communicate with operators, supervision and support teams.
  • Demonstrates the safe use of all shop support equipment necessary to prepare or modify tooling to produce products meeting the customer expectations.
  • Evaluates and communicates machine conditions and/or concerns to both maintenance and team leaders.
  • Participates in team meetings and works well with team members. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities to assist team in meeting goals including Dynamite Idea program, reporting near misses and 6S.
  • Efficiently produces quality products that meet all expectations.
  • Maintains the entire workplace in a safe, clean operating condition on a daily basis.
  • Coordinates personnel and process to enhance workflow throughout the department based on Team Leader recommendations and customer expectations.
  • Completes paperwork such as router, check sheet, quality charts and non-conformance report.
  • Find, understand and utilize control plans to ensure product quality.
  • Electronically gathers materials for production such as, part drawings, tool drawings, production schedules, production requirements, performance reports, etc.
  • Practices and trains operators to produce quality products utilizing Engineering drawings, process control documents, training materials and departmental work instructions.
  • Performs other duties as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical Ability
  • Use of micrometers, calipers, comparators, gages, hand tools, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand approximately 8-10 hrs/day.
  • Able to bend, twist, and squat in sometimes awkward positions for prolonged periods of time while exerting force (pushing or pulling) on hand tools used to adjust machine.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work.
  • Manual dexterity.
