Roll Thread OperatorAddison IL

We are seeking a Roll Thread Operator to set up and operate horizontal and inclined thread rolling machines for new, special, regular, and experimental jobs. This position is responsible for producing quality parts, maintaining equipment, following safety procedures, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate roll thread machines.
  • Make minor machine repairs, including replacing studs, set screws, and plate springs.
  • Report additional maintenance needs to the Maintenance department.
  • Ensure all machine safety guards are properly installed and in good condition.
  • Inspect work in progress using the equipment and procedures outlined in quality and work instructions.
  • Visually inspect parts for poor or defective threads.
  • Check blanks for mixed stock or foreign products.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of completed work.
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
  • Lubricate machinery as needed.
  • Assist other roll thread setup operators when necessary.
  • Train and instruct other employees when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:
  • Education: HSD, required; certification in the metal trades industry preferred
  • Experience: 2-5+ years of roll thread/fastener experience, required
  • Knowledge: computer literacy skills, required 
  • Ability: Read & interpret blueprints and follow both verbal and written instructions required
