Location: Creemore, ON

Six Pints Collective is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Creemore, Ontario. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Ontario & West Craft, you will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of capital projects across our brewery operations.

This role requires a self-motivated and resourceful professional who can effectively manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee project budgets. As a technical subject matter expert, you will provide guidance on engineering strategy and project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.

 What You'll Be Responsible ForProject & Capital Management
  • Lead and manage capital project engineering and execution for:
    • Creemore Springs Brewery
    • Creemore Springs Distribution Centre
    • Granville Island Brewery
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, resources, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Business, and Marketing teams to identify current and future capital expenditure (CAPEX) requirements.
  • Develop and present capital project proposals for inclusion in 1-to-3-year facility plans.
  • Compile and manage the brewery's long-range capital budget.
  • Monitor and track project-related expenditures, including capital, demolition, feasibility, and training costs.
  • Develop business cases and performance metrics to evaluate project benefits, costs, and complexity.
Project Execution & Compliance
  • Ensure projects meet quality, budget, performance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project contractors and execute the Six Pints Contractor Safety Program.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers throughout project lifecycles.
  • Oversee project documentation, change management, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
  • Ensure assets are successfully transitioned into operation following project completion.
  • Safely manage process shutdowns, modifications, and startups while minimizing impacts to production.
Engineering, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement
  • Support brewery operations through detailed analysis to improve efficiency and reduce losses.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, legislation, and corporate requirements.
  • Manage regulatory agreements and compliance documents related to:
    • Municipal wastewater
    • Environmental permits (Provincial and Federal)
    • Air quality, odour, and noise regulations
    • Government reporting requirements, including NPRI, GHG, Energy & Emissions, and Capital Expenditure reporting
  • Partner with maintenance teams to ensure asset care requirements are incorporated into project designs, including training, lubrication, spare parts, manuals, and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives and monitor utility consumption on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Manage the brewery's data collection systems (Historian) and support operations through data analysis, reporting, and trend identification.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert and advisor within the organization.
  • Support and evaluate the work of contract process and project engineers.
  • Participate in contractor management processes and weekly project review meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management practices and overall project execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4โ€“6 years of related engineering and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale corporate capital projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with data collection systems and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental legislation and safe work practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and highly organized.
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or actively working toward obtaining designation.
  • General Certificate in Packaging and/or Brewing.
