Job Summary:

The Field Sales Manager (FSM) is responsible for leading, developing, and producing results through a field-based sales team, with a primary focus on storm restoration and retail exterior sales. This role is highly hands-on, requiring consistent field presence, direct selling activity, and lead-by-example coaching.ย 

The FSM recruits, trains, and manages high-performing sales representatives while actively participating in neighborhood canvassing, inspections, customer meetings, and deal closing. Success is measured daily through KPIs, revenue production, team development, and the delivery of 5-star customer experiences.ย 


General Responsibilities:ย 

Sales Performance & Revenue Executionย 

  • Drive territory sales performance through direct field sales activity and team productionย 
  • Execute storm and retail sales strategies aligned with GM and regional prioritiesย 
  • Establish individual sales quotas and track performance against KPIsย 
  • Assign and prioritize leads to optimize conversion and customer experienceย 
  • Develop and implement targeted, neighborhood-level sales strategies following storm activityย 
  • Lead person-to-person lead generation through canvassing and direct customer engagementย 

Field Leadership & Lead-by-Example Sellingย 

  • Maintain a strong field presence inspecting properties, canvassing neighborhoods, meeting customers, and closing dealsย 
  • Demonstrate Elite selling techniques, inspection standards, and customer engagement best practicesย 
  • Mentor sales representatives in real-time through in-field coaching and ride-alongsย 
  • Reinforce consistent execution of sales processes, messaging, and brand standardsย 

Sales Team Development & Coachingย 

  • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales representativesย 
  • Train sales team members on products, selling systems, and operational workflowsย 
  • Deliver ongoing classroom and in-field training focused on skill development and performance improvementย 
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, provide actionable feedback, and implement improvement plansย 
  • Lead team meetings, trainings, and motivational sessions to drive engagement and resultsย 

Process, Technology & KPI Accountabilityย 

  • Ensure disciplined use of Elite CRM and sales systems across the teamย 
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline health, and customer communications for quality and complianceย 
  • Use dashboards and KPIs to identify performance gaps and coach accordinglyย 
  • Hold sales representatives accountable to process adherence, data accuracy, and follow-throughย 

Customer Experience & Brand Representationย 

  • Ensure every customer interaction reflects Elite standards and results in a 5-star experienceย 
  • Monitor sales team communication with customers to ensure professionalism and consistencyย 
  • Address customer issues or escalations in partnership with the General Managerย 
  • Represent Elite professionally in the field and local communitiesย 

Administrative & Budget Oversightย 

  • Manage assigned sales budgets and control company-related employee purchasesย 
  • Complete required reporting, documentation, and administrative responsibilitiesย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of sales objectivesย 


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred; high school diploma and/or equivalent GED with relevant experience required.ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in field sales with prior sales leadership or management experienceย 
  • Strong background in storm restoration and retail home improvement sales preferredย 
  • Proven ability to sell, coach, and develop high-performing field sales teamsย 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsย 
  • Strong person-to-person lead generation and canvassing experienceย 
  • Customer-focused mindset with a performance-driven approachย 
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; constant field travel requiredย 
  • Attention to detail required
  • Ability to problem-solving and use critical thinkingย 
  • Ability to handle conflict in a professional and courteous manner
  • Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Work with peers and all departments for the common goals of the organization
  • Reliable in meeting work commitments
  • Must be flexible and adapt to most any situation
  • Ability to utilize technology devices, software and application like CRMS, project management and/or ERP systems, previous experience with Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills required

REQUIRED: WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hours: 40 hours weekly and additional as needed
  • Location: to be performed at assigned Elite location Market
  • Ability to travel within the assigned Elite market 90% of the time
