Focus/Objective

The Thermoforming Operator supports daily plant operations by safely and efficiently operating thermoforming equipment, mentoring fellow operators, and ensuring production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.



Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate one or two thermoforming machines under minimal supervision.
  • Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, dimensions, and material flow.
  • Monitors machine performance responds to alarms and malfunctions and perform advance troubleshooting.
  • Conduct machine adjustments (air pressure, vacuum, coolant flow, synchronization, etc.) to ensure proper operation.
  • Load raw materials, remove finished products, and deliver pallets to designated areas.
  • Achieve daily production output goals within established deadlines.
  • Enter daily utilization data into plant PCM and complete required paperwork (logs, condition sheets, checklists, locator cards).
  • Perform and/or assist with preventive maintenance, cleaning, and machine adjustments.
  • Mentor and support new operators during onboarding; provide direction to inspector-packers as needed.
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any processing or maintenance issues.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with special projects as assigned.


Minimum Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-years forklift experience.
  • Prolonged periods sitting on a forklift.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications & Education:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 12 to 24 months of experience as a Forming Machine Operator or related experience
  • Successfully completed all requirements from the respective Forming Operator Check sheet
  • Ability to perform general to advanced machine maintenance
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience or ability in mentoring and training
  • Self-directed and independent with strong communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Forklift Certification

Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify EE Dallas QB Inc.’s safety culture in everyday activities.
  • Gain a thorough working knowledge of EE Dallas QB Inc. Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) policies and procedures.
  • Follow all EE Dallas QB Inc. facility and corporate ES&H procedures and practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in facility ESH meetings and forums that will drive employee involvement.
  • Participate in JSA’s, and other site safety reviews.
  • Complete all required ESHA training in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in any safety investigations when called upon to do so.

  • Understands and performs Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and how to mentor this topic to other employees.

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring regulations and company quality procedures are followed in the performance of your job
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in your work areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining all Quality documents assigned to your job are properly completed following our GMP & BRC standards.
  • Responsible completing all Quality training to maintain the ability to do your job following our SOPs.
  • Responsible for actively participating in GEMBA walks when called upon to do so.
  • Ensures that all product manufactured on assigned machine is within Company quality limits; immediately recognizes quality issues and takes action; operates at or below Company scrap targets
  • Ensures grinder is functioning properly
  • Assists with in-line inspection when necessary; completes any re-inspection that is ordered due to quality issues from assigned line
  • Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
  • Ensures grinder is functioning properly

  • Employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be physically capable of spending long hours outdoors or in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform general to advanced machine maintenance
  • Must be “fit for duty”.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time.
  • Able to walk a minimum of 5,000 steps per day.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform under the following conditions:
  • Work primarily production area without climate control
  • Work safely at all times.
  • Work occasionally in the warehouse, plant building, or outside plant area.
  • Able to occasionally work long hours without prior notice to assist the plant on urgent issues.
