The Therapy Manager oversees the daily operations, clinical quality, staffing, and performance of rehabilitation therapy services. This role provides leadership to therapy staff while ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, productivity standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Therapy Manager supports organizational goals through operational efficiency, staff development, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership- Supervise and support therapy staff including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, therapy assistants, and rehab aides.
- Ensure delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based therapy services.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators.
- Assist with complex patient care issues and clinical problem-solving.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing, case management, and administration.
- Manage daily therapy department operations and staffing schedules.
- Monitor productivity, staffing ratios, and department performance metrics.
- Ensure appropriate patient scheduling and caseload distribution.
