FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EXEMPTION: Teacher Exemption
LOCATION: Abilene

SUMMARY/SCOPE:
We are hiring apart-time, adjunct faculty member to teach in the Logsdon School of Theology forthe fall 2025 schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses in LogsdonSchool of Theology.
Demonstrate effective teaching strategies by planning and implementing avariety of teaching methods as well as assessment.
Maintain accurate records and documents, submit timely reports, and beresponsive to students.
Records/documents include but are not limited tosyllabi and grades.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in theology or relatedacademic area is required. Teaching experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
None are required for this position at this time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit orstand for long periods of time while performing office and computer operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Thisposition is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)that involves teaching in-person classes on campus at Hardin-Simmons Universityin Abilene, Texas.
Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
