Job description

THEATER OPERATIONS MANAGER

Are you a live performance loving, no nonsense, roll your sleeves up and get the job done leader? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our theater manager position. We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our theater operations on the famous Las Vegas Strip!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage and oversee all theater departments, including the box office, showroom, and bar
  • Ensure that all shows run on time and guests are provided with excellent customer service
  • Manage communications with show producers and cast
  • Handle escalated guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with human resources to maintain adequate staffing levels
  • Interview, hire, and oversee training of all new employees
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure proper coverage for all showtimes and showrooms
  • Manage bar operations to include scheduling, inventory, and cash in/out
  • Manage ticketing sales and operations within the theater
  • Order and track inventory of all paper goods and bar supplies
  • Coordinate activities and communications with theater suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain all visual merchandising displays
  • Oversee third party photo agents
  • Communicate required repairs and upkeep to facilities maintenance, verifying that the issue(s) is resolved
  • Monitor and analyze showroom performance metrics such as ticket sales, upgrade conversions, time to seat, time to clear, etc.
  • Ensure all theater staff is held accountable to their job duties, providing feedback for improvements and discipline when required
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • All guidance given by upper management, or other designee must be followed through as instructed
  • Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:

  • 4+ years of proven management experience in an operational capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in business or operations management preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a theater, showroom, or live production setting is highly desired
  • Working knowledge of internal and third-party ticketing systems and programs
  • Experience managing a large team of employees with various job duties
  • Proven experience working with external stakeholders to guide operational objectives
  • Experienced in taking ownership and accountability for team performance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing, and kneeling
  • Work indoors and possibly outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette and/or vape smoke, and other potentially hazardous materials and equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to continuously maneuver up and downstairs
