As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Blue Sphere, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Collaborating with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific mental health needs, goals, and personal circumstances.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educating and supporting clients and their families regarding mood disorders and providing guidance on self-care strategies and coping mechanisms.
• Monitoring clients’ progress by continuously evaluating treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Engaging in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrative approach to patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in strict compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and remain abreast of the latest developments in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Actively advocating for clients, promoting mental health awareness, and contributing to the destigmatization of mood disorders in the community.

You will work predominantly with a diverse clientele experiencing mood disorders. This includes individuals from various backgrounds presenting with different life challenges that impact their mental health. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients understand their conditions, develop coping strategies, and achieve improvements in their overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport with clients and effectively address their issues regarding mood disorders.

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities like CBT and DBT.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and a proven track record of working collaboratively with psychiatrists and medical professionals.
