Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Security Officer for The Ridge School who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Security Officer you will:
• Ensure a safe environment for our patients, staff, visitors, physicians and volunteers
• Ensure quality outcomes for security department by communicating effectively with security, staff and the public
• Conduct foot patrols of the facility and parking areas.
• Conduct vehicular patrols of the parking areas and off site locations
• Assist with restraining violent patients
• Use time and resources in a financially responsible manner
• Foster group cohesiveness within the security department
• Portray a positive image of the organization.
Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous security experience, preferably in a hospital setting Preferred
• Must possess a US Driver's License
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be able to respond to physically demanding emergency calls
• Experience working with children grades 6-12 with emotional and learning disabilities as well as behavioral health impairments strongly preferred.

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Hours per Week: e.g., 36-40 hrs/week
Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday
Shift Type: Day
Weekend Requirements: Optional. every other weekend rotation ( for the 12th month)

Pay Range:
$19.21 - $24.90
