JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for greeting guests in pool area ensuring that entire area is clean and properly set up prior to the opening of the pool and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the day.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPOSIBITIES:

  • Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items.
  • Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
  • Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order.
  • Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Follow all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Set up maintain and breakdown Pool and Beach.
  • Provide Pool and Beach side service as schedule Inform guests about the hotel's facilities, policies and procedures
  • Maintain and clean pool or beach areas. Set up and breakdown of pool or beach areas.
  • Assist guests with chairs, towels and cushions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

  • Be courteous
  • Show genuine care for all co-workers and guest(s)
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in the English language. Second language is an asset.
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Previous food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of food and wine an asset.
  • Team player and willing to help out other Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Must possess outstanding guest services skills and professional presentation.
  • Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Micros or other POS Systems).
  • Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol according to state law.
  • Must be physically fit in order to lift trays of food or food items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a very flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Food handling certificate is an asset.
  • Excellent eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests.
  • Must be able to be outdoors for a long period of time.
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
