Job description

Nanny / Mother's Helper / Housekeeper

A returning BAHS client in Tribeca/Battery Park is seeking an experienced Nanny / Mother's Helper / Housekeeper to join their warm, young family. The family has three young children and a friendly Golden Retriever. Mom is a stay-at-home parent who is very present and hands-on with the children, and she is looking for an additional person who can work alongside her to help keep both the children and household running smoothly.

With three young children on different schedules, flexibility is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable following Mom's lead and jumping in wherever support is most needed throughout the day. At times, this may mean caring for one or more of the children while Mom is with another child; at other times, the focus may shift to housekeeping, laundry, organization, or other household needs.

This is a very hands-on and active role with three energetic young children. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being active with children and can comfortably keep up with them throughout the day, whether playing on the floor, climbing and playing at the playground, navigating the city, or moving quickly when needed. One of the younger children is particularly quick and adventurous, so the candidate must be attentive and physically able to react quickly, including jogging or running after a child when necessary for safety. Candidates should also be comfortable occasionally lifting a child weighing up to approximately 45 lbs.

This is a true hybrid position, and the family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys both childcare and housekeeping rather than someone who strongly prefers one side of the role. The right person will be proactive and able to recognize what needs to be done while also being comfortable working collaboratively with a hands-on parent.

The family maintains a casual yet professional household and values kindness, discretion, flexibility, organization, and excellent communication. They are hoping to find someone warm, calm, and adaptable who will become a trusted, long-term member of their household team.

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week MondayWednesday: 7:30 AM4:30 PM ThursdayFriday: 10:00 AM4:30 PM Some flexibility may be appreciated based on the family's needs.
