A Large Format Print Production Manager oversees daily operations, staff, and workflows for wide-format print projects like banners, wall graphics, printed vinyl, and signage. They manage file preparation, equipment operation, finishing, and quality control to ensure projects meet deadlines and client standards. 
 
 Key Responsibilities :
  • Manage Workflow: Supervise daily print production, schedule jobs, and track project milestones from pre-press to final delivery.
  • Operate Equipment: Run and maintain large-format roll printers, laminators, plotters, and digital cutters.
  • Handle Finishing: Oversee hands-on finishing tasks including trimming, mounting, laminating, hemming, and grommeting.
  • Quality Control: Inspect output for color accuracy, alignment, and physical defects.
  • Inventory Control: Track stocks of substrates, inks, and finishing materials, coordinating reorders with suppliers.
  • Lead Team: Train, mentor, and supervise print operators and installation technicians.
 
Ideal Large Format Sign and Vinyl Specialist Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in large-format digital printing, sign-making, or a related graphic production environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and RIP software (such as ONYX, Caldera, VersaWorks, or Fiery).
  • Deep familiarity with diverse substrates (vinyl, mesh, foam board, acrylic, banner fabric) and their applications.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy rolls or materials (up to 40+ lbs).
