Position Summary: The Concierge Desk Associate serves as the welcoming face of the JCC of Greater Columbus and the Andrew Ethan Stern Pickleball Complex. This role ensures an exceptional experience for members and guests by providing warm, attentive customer service, managing daily front-desk operations, and supporting the overall flow of the facility. Ideal candidates are reliable, professional, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable about-or eager to learn-pickleball.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Member & Guest Experience
  • Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Handle check-ins, schedules, court reservations, and general facility questions.
  • Provide information about JCC pickleball programs, leagues, lessons, and events.
  • Address basic concerns with patience, courtesy, and efficiency.

Technology & App Support
  • Operate the JCC's reservation and facility-management systems.
  • Assist members with the MY J App or website for bookings and program information.
  • Troubleshoot simple app or device concerns as needed.

Point of Sale & Sales Support
  • Process payments for memberships, drop-ins, lessons, retail items, and events.
  • Share information about membership options, clinics, merchandise, and other JCC services.
  • Support basic retail tasks, including inventory and product presentation.

Facility & Operational Support
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming concierge desk area.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, instructors, program staff, and management.
  • Assist with monitoring facility activity to support a smooth and safe environment.

  • Strong customer service skills with a positive, welcoming attitude.
  • Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, apps, and reservation software.
  • Knowledge of pickleball rules and culture, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Point-of-sale experience preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communication and appearance.
  • Sales experience or comfort promoting programs is a plus.

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Part-time or full-time opportunities are available.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required.
