Job description

Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating emergency medical care in collaboration with the EMS Medical Director and pre-hospital services using Cheshire Medical Center as a Medical Resource Hospital (MRH). The EMS Supervisor is responsible for both overall delivery of clinical care and operational leadership of the Intercept Paramedic (IP) team. Serves as a liaison for EMS-related issues with pre-hospital services and personnel, hospital personnel, training institutes, citizens, state and local regulatory agencies and other agencies/individuals associated with pre-hospital care. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the pre-hospital agencies for information sharing/dissemination, conflict resolution, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Works with the Medical Director to develop and implement continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs by reviewing and analyzing EMS effectiveness, system trends, and needs in an effort to ensure EMS system excellence. Investigates complaints and/or signs of poor performance in conjunction with the Medical Director. Collects, manages and analyzes data to support CQI for EMS and related clinical initiatives. Coordinates and performs lecture and simulation continuing education for EMS providers. Coordinates, schedules and oversees EMS clinical rotations at Cheshire Medical Center in collaboration with local EMS instructors. May be required to perform other duties of lesser, equal or greater levels of responsibility.

This position requires: Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Paramedic. 3-5 years in EMS. Nationally Registered Paramedic - NH state license within 30 days of hire. BLS, ACLS, PALS. Current Critical Care Certification (e.g., FP-C, CCP-C) required within six months of hire. Driver license – valid; Satisfactory Driving Record.

Compensation: 

Minimum: $30.70

Maximum: $47.58
