Description

• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication techniques, fluency, voice rehabilitation, and swallowing strategies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop holistic patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally provide inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep precise documentation that complies with all state and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay updated with the latest field advancements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is mandatory unless ASHA certification is already obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
