Job description

Come join our awesome team as a Caregiver/HHA at The Homestead at Anoka! 

The Homestead at Anoka is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Compensation: $20.09/hr- $22.15/hr (Benefit Options and based on years of experience) *Pay In Lieu of Benefits Options available 

Schedule:

Shift openings: 


7:00 AM-3:00 PM (Every other weekend) *15 hours per pay period 

3:00 PM- 11:00 PM (Every other weekend) *60 and 45 hours per pay period available

Caregiver Job Highlights:

Essentials:

  • Assists residents with activities of daily living.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Documentation of cares given and pertinent observations. Reports any observations to the nurse.
  • Assists with ambulation, transfers and exercise.
  • Reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Be eighteen (18)+ years of age.
  • Process the ability to read, write and carry out directions.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgment.
  • Have demonstrated dependability, tact, and ability to follow orders.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Possesses coordination and dexterity required to provide resident care skillfully.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an Assisted Living Facility or Memory Care.
  • CPR Certification
