Position Summary

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice defined by New York State Nurse Aide Certification. The CNA plays an essential role in promoting resident comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff
  • Promote resident comfort, dignity, and independence
  • Assist with meal service and resident nutrition needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment
  • Document care and observations accurately
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
  • Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service
QualificationsRequired
  • Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • BLS certification through RQI during clinical orientation
Preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Nursing Assistant experience
  • Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
