Job description

Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is partnering with a growing, multi-entity, agriculture organization in the Mid-Willamette valley to identify a Senior Accountant. This newly created, 100% on site position was established due to continued company growth. The organization is seeking an experienced accounting professional who can work independently, take ownership of key accounting responsibilities, and contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a multi-entity environment, and wants to play an important role in supporting the financial operations of a growing business. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for key aspects of the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, allocations, investor reporting, and audit support. This role requires someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close activities
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesComplete balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities and funds
  • Process and manage intercompany invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
  • Maintain and execute allocation methodologies across multiple entities
  • Monitor bank account activity and record transactions between entities
  • Prepare investor reconciliations and supporting journal entries
  • Assist with inventory and cost-related accounting activities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
  • Lead audit support activities, including schedules and documentation requests
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
  • ERP system experience required (QuickBooks-only backgrounds are unlikely to be a fit)
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-entity and/or multi-fund accounting
  • Manufacturing, agriculture, distribution, or other operationally focused industries
  • Audit support and financial reporting
  • Cost accounting or inventory-related accounting exposure
