Job description

SUMMARY:

The Castle & Key Retail Associate PT is expected to exemplify everything the brand represents in terms of personal image, overall behavior, quality of execution, good taste and discretion. The Castle & Key brand pays homage to history while creating a modern and high quality product and experience for all Guests visiting the property. Through our staff and our products, Castle & Key will foster an image of luxury, thoughtfulness, approachability, ultimate hospitality and elegance. This position is a self starter, and able to self manage with a focus on customer service and goal realization.


The primary role of the Retail Associate PT is to ensure our guest satisfaction levels are the highest in the industry. They will serve as our product specialists with a focus on representation and sales of our premium spirits.. This will also include retail responsibilities such as checking out guests, merchandising, maintaining displays, promoting products, hosting guest tastings and inventory duties.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably with a luxury or premium brand of any kind

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver and take constructive feedback

  • Collaborative approach to work

  • Ability to operate register

  • STAR Training for cocktail/tasting service

  • Evenings, weekend, holiday availability and flexible schedule required


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking

  • Required to be “on-stage” for the majority of the shift

  • Ability to push, pull, lift > 50lbs

  • Direct communication with customers, team and management

  • Ability to stand and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom

  • Ability to fold merchandise; climb, reach, push/ pull and clean


DETAIL OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet and engage customers ensuring all guests feel welcome in our off-site retail space.

  • Promote all Castle & Key products and merchandise.

  • Be knowledgeable about Castle & Key spirits and be able to host tastings for guests.

  • Meet and maintain benchmark retail sales goals

  • Performs various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases, processing of cash or credit payments and counting money.

  • Communicating product knowledge to the customer; recommends merchandise selections or helps to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.

  • Organize the store merchandise and back stock and ensure proper placement of product.

  • Upsell the customer, when appropriate, on additional products.

  • Follow all policies and procedures related to loss prevention and shrinkage.

  • Assist in maintenance and merchandising to create a visually compelling environment.

  • Implement and maintain systems to keep the store functioning efficiently.

  • Keep up with local activation, restaurants, bars, and suggestions for things to do.

  • Execute opening and closing procedures for retail operations.

  • Demonstrates confidence and focus during periods of high volume or unexpected event
