Job Description
The Aquatic Livestock Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers with their aquatic needs by answering questions, providing accurate advice, and carefully bagging livestock purchases. This role also supports the care and maintenance of our Aquatics Room systems to ensure a healthy and positive environment for both animals and customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in-store and over the phone with questions and livestock purchases
  • Unpack, acclimate, and bag aquatic livestock safely and accurately
  • Complete required paperwork, including mortality and usage sheets
  • Perform routine aquarium maintenance, such as cleaning tanks and filter bags, while reporting concerns to supervisors
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of fish species to provide helpful guidance to customers
  • Remain flexible to assist in other departments as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Aquatics Room Supervisor or Manager
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with customers and team members
  • Comfortable handling aquatic animals of various species
  • Knowledge of fish species preferred; willingness to learn required
  • Dependable work ethic with punctuality and accountability
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Schedule:
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
