Job Description – Business Development Center (BDC) Representative

Location: Fresno, California
Position Type: Full-Time 


Position Summary

As a BDC Representative at Blackstone Toyota of Fresno, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers. Your role is to handle inbound and outbound communications—phone, email, text, and online leads—to set qualified appointments for the sales departments. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer experiences and supporting the dealership’s growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, text, and chat.

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers generated by dealership and third-party lead sources.

  • Schedule sales and service appointments that meet dealership and customer needs.

  • Accurately enter and maintain customer information in the CRM system.

  • Follow up with customers to confirm appointments and re-engage missed opportunities.

  • Provide basic information about vehicles, services, and promotions (no price negotiation or contract work).

  • Coordinate with the sales and service teams to ensure smooth handoffs.

  • Comply with all dealership policies, customer privacy requirements, and federal/state telemarketing regulations.

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all customer interactions.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfort with phone-based work and high call volume.

  • Basic computer literacy (CRM, Google Drive, Google Sheets, texting platforms).

  • Previous call center, customer service, or automotive BDC experience is a plus.

  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred but not required.


Work Conditions
  • Typical schedule includes weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment.


Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly base pay: $18 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses based on appointment shows and vehicle sales.

  • Monthly bonus of $2k are achievable. No cap on bonus. 
  • Eligible for health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid sick leave, vacation accrual, etc.

  • Paid sick leave.
