Novo Health Services is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our healthcare textile processing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing high-volume production environments, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated healthcare or industrial processing setting.

As a key member of the operations leadership team, you will play a critical role in optimizing plant performance, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership
  • Direct and oversee all daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, service, and financial objectives are consistently achieved.

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline team members while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage production workflows to ensure customer delivery schedules, turnaround times, and service-level commitments are met.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, labor efficiency, throughput, quality, rewash rates, safety performance, and customer service metrics.

  • Conduct regular operational reviews and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and drive sustainable improvements.

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment through active participation in safety programs, audits, investigations, training, and risk-reduction initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, HLAC accreditation standards, TRSA Hygienically Clean requirements, and all applicable regulatory guidelines.

  • Support customer audits, accreditation reviews, facility inspections, and corporate compliance initiatives.

  • Champion quality systems and best practices to ensure consistent delivery of hygienically clean products and services.

Workforce & Resource Management
  • Develop staffing plans and manage labor resources to optimize operational performance while controlling costs.

  • Lead employee performance management activities, including coaching, development planning, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and talent development.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement, and retention initiatives in partnership with Human Resources.

  • Collaborate across departments to maximize workforce effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, Distribution, Customer Service, and other support teams to enhance plant performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in customer meetings, operational reviews, and business development activities as needed.

  • Serve as an operational leader and provide support across departments when required.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement programs focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and employee engagement.

  • Support implementation of new equipment, automation technologies, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with capital expenditure planning, facility expansion projects, and long-term operational strategy.

  • Participate in industry benchmarking efforts and adoption of best practices.

  • Prepare operational reports, labor forecasts, presentations, and performance updates for executive leadership.

  • Lead and support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience within industrial laundry, healthcare laundry, textile processing, medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical operations, linen services, or a related high-volume production environment.

  • Proven experience managing large production teams in a fast-paced operational setting.

  • Strong understanding of production flow, quality systems, labor management, operational metrics, and safety programs.

  • Experience operating in customer-focused environments with responsibility for meeting service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting systems.

  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and support a 24/7 operation when business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare laundry operations.

  • Experience working in HLAC-accredited and/or TRSA Hygienically Clean certified facilities.

  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.

  • Experience managing facilities processing more than 20 million pounds annually or comparable high-volume production operations.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Demonstrated success leading productivity improvement, cost-reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
